Vianka Perez, DO

General Cardiology

Dr. Vianka I. Perez is a highly accomplished cardiologist. She completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. Dr. Perez then went on to become Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 2017, Cardiovascular Medicine in 2020, and Nuclear Cardiology in 2020.

Dr. Perez currently works as a Clinical Cardiologist at Steward Healthcare, specializing in general cardiology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She participates in the structural heart program, performing intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) for minimally invasive procedures such as transcatheter mitral valve repair, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and Watchman device implantation for left atrial appendage closure.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Perez has experience in medical education, serving as an Anatomy Teacher Assistant and Neuroanatomy Teacher Assistant while in medical school. She has published case reports in journals like JACC, and her research on bronchial cell remodeling was presented at the Florida Academy of Scientists meeting.

Dr. Perez is fluent in both English and Spanish. She received the A. Alvin Grever, D.O. Cardiology Award during her medical training, highlighting her accomplishments in the field of cardiology.
